#3: Pride (Hidden Lies)

Welcome to these Hidden Lies we have swallowed once. I invite you to take a look at the introduction where you will see a bit better how the human being works inside his heart clicking here Hidden Lies.

Where is the pride leading you? Have you asked yourself anytime? Was it the pride that ended your marriage?  Was it the pride which didn’t let you come back home?  Was it the pride which didn’t let you say “I’m sorry” about time? Is it your pride that doesn’t let you see your faults? Is the pride that is separated you from your husband? Are you letting those things happen when you are the only one can fix them? Only you can change those situations if you take your pride and put it aside.

The pride is not a gift. Too many years ago, proud men died for the honour and left behind them unhappy wives and children without a father.

The pride hurts you and hurt the people you love the most. Being proud is being blind and that can destroy yourself, your family, your friendships and everything you touch.

Being proud is worship yourself and no one but you and it doesn’t let you think about the feelings of anyone else but yours. You're the only thing that matters. The pride flows out of your heart and use your tongue just for saying the worst things you could have ever said to anyone.  For the pride, the prettiest angel of God was dropped from heaven (Isaiah 14: 12-15)

The pride uses you for doing the opposite things you should be doing.  The pride doesn’t let you say “I’m sorry” “Thank you very much” “I missed you” “Please, don’t go” “I love you” That is very sad and you don't know what is that you are losing until it's too late to bring it back, owing your proud heart.

Don’t let the pride takes control of you and choose to be humble. It’s always better being humble than proud and it has more blessing, although it’s not contagious, I’m afraid.

  1. Yeah, I absolutely agree with you. Beautiful text that makes us think about pride. When we get angry with someone or we want to impose our opinion, we always get proud. As you said, pride blinds us, and it's the worse thing to do, because we don't learn anymore. We are closed with our own opinions and we sink ourselves in a well of blind pride. Sometimes it's better to breath a little, accept that we are not perfect and go on.
    Thanks for your teachings!
