Theory on the Biblical Plagues

Well, here it goes a very easy explanation about how the 10 
plagues occurred. It seems that events were caused by a volcano that erupted on the Greek island of Santorini in the 16th century B.C. I’m afraid, guys that if that would be true, the eruption occurred considerably before the exodus event.  I’m not the one who is telling you that, there’re papers and works behind this. I can't let this theory sail wherever and whenever in my life, I can't swallow it without chewing it and I have to analyze the theory in the light of those facts. Bible is my light.

This is just a theory that proves nothing, but let’s assume that’s true. I’d be amazed at that brilliant plan as well, why not? God Almighty can do whatever he wants, whenever and wherever because of him is his creation and he knows it by heart for doing exactly what he has planned. It’s wonderful how he reaches his plans using what he created and only God could do with a simple touch of his finger to make burst the volcano and unchain 10 plagues. Why not? He’s God Almighty and his powers have no limits. God wanted to take his people out of Egypt and what God promises, God does. If God has a plan, God does it over everything.

Santorini is more than 500 miles from the Egyptian coast. The ashes were so thick according to the Bible so it’s very unlikely that the ashes from this island would have been like this at that distance. 
That theory doesn't fix either because of the selective of the volcano. The plagues just affected Egyptians because the people of God were living perfectly. 

It’s wonderful because everything is submitted to God and he has the control and for him, everything it’s all right in my life.

Quite apart from what I feel about God, this theory and the documental which was released wants to disesteem the power of the God from the Bible, that God here means nothing at all and tear apart our faith. I’ll tell you something, even atheistic people believe in something, maybe not God or any other gods but themselves, so there isn't anyone on earth who does not believe in anything. My point is, faith is necessary so don’t try to destroy it. Without believing in anything people would be nothing. Study the history and you’ll find out that each clan, each culture, each era believed in gods, philosophy or person. Always.  

You can believe or not, nowadays nobody is coming to you to make you so, why are you trying to discredit God?  Faith gives you hope, hope gives you joy, joy makes you live better. So, what is so bad about faith? If you are trying just to imitate Jesus, that would make you a better person with a high moral principle and big-hearted. I don’t see how belief could be anything bad, besides, this theory is wrong because it doesn't explain everything about the real history, so... It's just a theory after all.
